A newly announced Megaman game going to be released for free for PC on December 17th, got that. Free.

It looks pretty tight from the trailer, so what are you waiting for? Oh yeah…the 17th.

Misc Media: Stop motion paper Rock Man

Well, here it is folks. One top notch article for the week. I slaved hours and hours writing out a Misc. Media for all of you. I may be busy playing video games and enjoying each of my 40 hour work weeks, but I cleared some time to write this baby up.

Stop motion, paper, Mega Man; these are words that best describe the video I have attached to this wonderful write up. Apparently the person that made this video made it for a multimedia course. Enjoy.

Misc. Media – Mega Man III with Lyrics (Extended)

(he’s got a motherfuckin’ gun for a hand)

Thought I would slip in one little video related article before I dust off for this weekend, expect me to return Monday in full force with a new episode of Weekly AMV (sorry OD and Link, you’re fired) and a slew of new articles as well. If you have not played Mega Man 9 yet, WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU?!? GET AWAY FROM YOUR COMPUTER AND GO PLAY IT! But not before watching this video.

It wasn’t too long ago that I showed you all a video featuring a guy (known as “brentalfloss”?) who wrote and sang lyrics to the opening theme to Mega Man 3 (the best Mega Man theme, in my opinion) followed shortly by CanuckGamer showcasing the follow-up rendition of the Dr. Wily stage theme from Mega Man 2. Well now, Mega Man III is being revisited with a set of extended lyrics. The first set will be familiar to you all, but things shift gears in the second half where amongst all things…Mega Man declares who he is voting for on Election Day!

Misc. Gaming – Feel the Hatred: Mega Man 9

(A Musing)

Mega Man 9 kicked my ass, took my lunch money, and gave me a swirly. Not since Ikaruga, has any other modern game stepped in to beat me down and strip me of my pride. Mega Man 9 however, has taken the pleasure of breaking up this gap for me. Don’t get me wrong, subjecting myself to 8 bit beatings is nothing new in my book. I tend to be very masochistic as is when it comes to playing older games. I seem to believe that I take on this pain inflicting attitude simply because my expectations for difficulty generally gravitate pretty high for the games of yesterday.

In comparison to the majority of games today, older games tend to be the equivalent of eating nails. Mega Man 9, as a modern day game, is an exception. I went in expecting the difficulty to be somewhat lackluster and watered down because of it’s date, but I was wrong. Dead wrong. This game not only looks and plays like the original titles, but it hits just as hard.

Outpatient Article – Misc. Media: The Last Days of Dr. Wily
By CanuckGamer
(Honus Wagner Card Man!?)

“How is a hamburger gonna kill Mega Man?”

That burning question will be answered in this clever little video, poking fun at all the unrealistic endeavors poor Dr. Wily must go through just to complete his simple goal of killing Mega Man. It also gives us a little insight into how expensive it is to maintain such an effort: 400G’s for a One-Hit Kill Spike? Highway robbery!

News of the Now — Surprising Robot Master for Mega Man 9

by Beeslo

(is against women’s sufferage! Women should never suffer!)

Yesterday, Capcom released the identity of one of the new robot masters from Mega Man 9. This new one was not the first to be announced, Plug Man was announced not shortly before. The big news behind this unveiling is that it isn’t a Robot Master…but in fact, a Robot Mistress. Yep, Splash Woman breaks new ground by being the first female robot Boss ever to fight Mega Man! Apparently her Laser Trident will give Mega Man the power to be able to shoot through walls at enemies including hidden walls.

Misc. Media – Mega Man III with Lyrics

(back with a vengence…and souviners!)

Hey guys! I’m back and I’m sure you’ve missed my quality articles. While I’m not exactly back in the rhythm of things just yet, I thought I’d give you all a little something, something…

I love Mega Man 3. Ask anyone and I’ll tell you flat out that Mega Man 3 is the best in the entire Mega Man franchise. Sure people always pick Mega Man 2 as the best and I don’t disagree with them when they claim its a great game. Its an awesome game, but it only set the bar so much and Mega Man 3 came along and set it so much higher where every game since has paled in comparison.

Mega Man 2 was a tremendous improvement over the original Mega Man, and Mega Man 3 added so much more awesomeness to the table making one of the very few perfect trilogies in the gaming industry in my personal opinion. Mega Man 3 had it all: terrific level design, unforgettable Robot Masters (Shadow Man counts as double and therefore helps us overlook Top Man), awesome power-ups (Rush the dog appears) and probably one of the best soundtracks ever made for a video game.

The intro music alone solidifies that fact and it is truly one of the biggest things I remember about this game. I can hum every note anywhere, hell, the song is on my phone as a ringtone (my girlfriend has the honor of having her number being identified with it). The song is just flat out awesome. But what could make it better? Lyrics.

I want to see GamerChris karaoke this one when he gets back.
