News of the Now

Nintendo’s Conference, October 2, we get some AWESOME news…

Punch Out!! will finally have a remake on the seventh generation console of Nintendo, the Wii(The game is set to be released on 2009). And what does that mean for us?! Hours and hours of hitting thin air in your mother basement!!!! COOL!!!

Now here’s the trailer so you all can feel happy and nostalgic and stuff:

So, what did you thought of it? keep reading for my thoughts on how it’s gameplay will be.

Speculation: [Everything I'm gonna say here is just something I've been thinking about for a long time, it's not official or anything.]

To be honest, ever since the Wii Balance Board was revealed back in E3 2007, i knew that Nintendo was gonna do this, why, you ask? Simply because the Wii is the perfect console for a game like Punch Out!!, where all you do is move left or right and hit, thus making use of both peripherals at it’s most. So basically what I’m talking about is that this new Punch Out!! is gonna make use of the Balance Board (I’m saying just in case it was not as obvious as i think it is…)

On a last sidenote, Little Mac looks horrible in 3D, but the remixed music more than made up for it!

  1. I personally like the art direction. It looks awesome in cel-shaded cartoonyness.

  2. I called this shit years and months ago.

  3. Awesome. I hope they incorporate the MotionPlus device, because anyone who has ever played Boxing on WiiSports…it sucks by itself.

  4. I just hope they have a classic control set up. I’m so tired of swinging my arms.
