Under The Knife - GTAIV - HassMD’s Perspective.

(Never made an actual review)
Now you probably have read the earlier reviews talking about how bad it was made in “Standard Definition”, but come on people, you are living in NEXT-GEN, with Blu-Ray players, and Widescreen Views, so I guess, I am the only (rich) editor here to have played in in HIGH DEAF-O-MITION! Anyway, I just love the driving in this game, sure hotwiring is a bitch, and sometimes wastes a perfectly good 2 hours (GTA Time) trying to get it to work, but then you are off and driving. The Controls of driving are easy, and are perfect for the XBOX 360 Controller. I should have provided background about how I love Playstation Solely for GTA, but I am saving that for a rainy day. Let’s just say, I called the Y-button the triangle so many times while playing this on the 360. While driving, you will obviously suck, ignore all stoplights, and run over “pedestrians” but the word “pedestrians” sounds like we really are running over people, so for the rest of this review they are hereby known as “pixel pals”. So while running over your “pixel pals” you will notice the dents in the hood of your car, scratches on the side of the car, and even if you are lucky, broken glass on your windshield.
But that’s not the part of the game I like, the part I liked the most about GTA I.V. (get it? I made a pun on a medical tool, and roman numerals at the same time) was the Soundtrack. From the “All Bob Marley” Tuff Gong Radio to WKTT, the pundit network, that has a Sean Hannity wannabe, and even messages from drunk fans of Rockstar. I wish future updates could add more of these calls, because they were the greatest “In Game” thing to be released so far. But who can’t forget about Lazlow’s Integrity 2.0; leaving off where Chatterbox Started, Lazlow now talks to hot dog vendors, paris hilton wannabes, and so much more, you would like to park the car, just to hear it all in one fell swoop, but here’s the catch- it updates depending on where you are in the game. Not to spoil anything, but you do get to hear from people you met earlier in the game, bringing even more interactivity to the radio. So if you were a big fan of the funny advertisements, then prepare yourself for tons of laughs with Whizz Mobile.
I know I am not saying much, but what do you expect? Grand Theft Auto is a sandbox game, you don’t have to just play through the missions, and thank god it was not like San Andreas, where you had a gang war, and had to stick to just one area, in GTA4, you just have a different gang in each borough but there likes and dislikes depend on the missions, and what side you are on. But remember, its typical that you will be stabbed in the back, and you will end up getting in fights when you are trying to heal yourself.
Grand Theft Auto IV: It’s the game meant for people who want to joyride.
