Anime Movie Of The Week (AMTW)

(I’m still learning this blog stuff.)

Originally known in Japan as “Cowboy Beebop: Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door”, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie was one of the greatest anime movies ever based on one of the most innovative anime series ever concieved.
The movie (oddly) is set between episodes 22 and 23 of the OVA, and the plot is as follows: A few days before Halloween, a trick blows up on an interstate containing an unknown biological compounds, killing many. The guy behind it gets a bounty posted on his head for 300,000,000 wulongs which sparks the interest of a certain motley crew of bounty hunters, leading them to give the person a better chase than the actual authorities.
Now, this movie is just perfect, as is the anime, which can be said so rarely these days. Even the dubbing is perfect. The only way to get quality like this is to consult a Miyazaki flick. So, I leave you with a clip from the movie: the intro. Enjoy, fellow Gunslingers!

pretty solid recommendation, Savage. I remember catching this one in the theaters…check that, I remember watching the subbed version on my computer and then catching it in theaters like 6 months later. You should have included the scene that preceded the intro…just plain awesomeness.
