An even awfuller sitcom on FOX? (That’s ‘STACKED’ by the way..)
No… what I am talking about is an arcade game, that is demonic in nature, that it doesn’t deserve to be in arcades…
Stacker
This my friends, is “Stacker

The game is simple enough…

Stack 11 boxes on top of each other, and win a minor prize…
OR RISK IT
And if you can climb to the top, win A MAJOR PRIZE

Minor Prizes include:

  • Tube socks
  • Yo-Yos
  • Beef Jerky
  • K-Fed Album
  • 1 ticket (9,999 more and you get a pogo stick)
  • Spider Ring
  • Some Yellow Nerf Ball-looking Thing…

but think about those MAJOR PRIZES…

  • Ipods
  • Nintendo Wiis
  • Xbox 360s
  • Apple Ibook
  • Season Passes at Wack-E-Land Amusement Park
  • $250 at Dave and Buster’s
  • Fame and Fortune!

Look at the enjoyment, how excited people get when they win a wii, or a major prize… sure they won the prize, but at what cost… roughly $13 … AND THEIR SOULS!

MuHaHaHaHaHAAAA!!!!

Yes, Stacker tricks with you, it might seem like a harmless alternative to the crane game, but if you tempt it, you might lose all your money…

Which is why, sometime this year, I am going to be on a mission…

If you don’t really know me, you would know, I LOVE the arcade games, from Coin-Ops to the Redemption Games, there is no game I wouldn’t try once, or twice, maybe 20 more tries…

My mission is to go to an arcade, with my trusty camera, and video tape an actual “Win” in several Arcade Games, that I believe contain horrors… and in the upcoming months I will expose these games, for what they are, demonic!

Coming Next Time: Flamin’ Finger; Jumpin’ Jackpot and the always controversial “Coin-Pusher”.

Go ahead, play it yourself, IF YOU DARE!

[and give me a digg when this comes front page]

  1. Oh man! This game is truly EVIL! However, on one lucky day 2 weeks ago, I won the Major Prize, a ds lite. It wasn’t one of the big machines, it was a small machine like the one in the picture you used. Happiest day of my life.

  2. They are actually set, every so many plays, the machine gets slower, the more people play it the easier it gets, then it lets you win. Reason? If someone wins, then word of mouth goes that “OMG I WON AT THIS MACHINE!” thus, making more money for the machine.

At my arcade in town, it takes around 400 plays until the machine slows down, that’s 400 dollars. They make double the profit of the item you win.

  3. well the game is hard but i have won the major prize 4times. i won an ipod shuffle, an ipod nano video, a sony psp, and a nintendo wii

  4. the game is rigged film someone playing then slow all the moves down you will see it skips.
Dont waste your money or time on this game .I wish i had known all this earlier i spent a lot of time and money at this game.

  5. the game is rigged film someone playing then slow all the moves down you will see it skips.
you can set how fast or slow the machine goes and how long it will take for a winner to avail. So depending on the place you could win or never win a major prize Dont waste your money or time on this game .

  6. I also fell under this game’s allurement. My wife tells me that this is what gambling addition is all about. I’ve gotten to the top line several times, only to be one block off, even though it seems that my timing was correct.

Its pretty obvious that winning the top prize is not what it seems – because if all levels had the same timing criteria, clearly people would be cleaning house all over the country.

One reasonable explanation on how this game is programmed is to consider that, at the very last (major prize) level, the timing is skewed so that a matchup requires a much higher precision. Consider that as the block moves from box to box, it stays on each box for a certain number of milleseconds. However, on the last level, the matching box(the one required to win the major prize) is only lit up for a fraction of the time of the normal case. So, in theory, one could, in fact, win this game every time – but realistically, this is not humanly possible. On the last matchup, it really boils down more to chance, because the precision required is simply outside of the human reflex capability. (But, legally speaking, it is possible)

This explanation, I believe, debunks the idea I’ve heard elsewhere that the winninig box is skipped altogether. If it was skipped, then this would be grounds for a future lawsuit, etc. However, I believe that the box is lit up, but only for shorter time period, which may require a camera that films at higher frame rate.

However, one could imagine that after the game has had X players without a win, then the timing of the last line is actually similar to the others.

    Hope this helps.

  7. I don’t think this game is rigged well sometimes but what you need to do is have very good hand eye co-ordination so I practice this game on my iPod touch and it is alot quicker then the arcade version that’s only on levels 3 and 4 so u need plenty of practice on hand eye co-ordination if you are good at it you will win in no time!!! (app is called stackit) :)

  8. I know for sure this game is rigged. by default it allows only one in 800 attempts to win.but it can be changed. Few days back i made one such game for a customer who wanted 1 in a 700 win ratio. The trick is that at the last box there is a hidden box with it. Its little fast so you don’t notice the trick part. The game has already decided if you will win or not. If you press the button at the right time on last block and you are not supposed to win. the original box is set to invisible and the box next to it is set to visible.

you don’t see this happening but it does happen. You can see this if you film a game and watch the slow motion.

Moral of the story is folks get a life, don’t waste your time and money on this shit.

  9. Its important to note that it won’t LET you win on the 700 or 800th time. It just means after this time it is possible. You still have to have a reasonable amount of skill to stack as well. My friend loves these games and stalks them around town, he plays a game to see if it skips; he won a PSP last night.

  10. found a cool little mobile game, which uses increasing speeds like stacker, really helped me win a DS, as I practiced for hours on this beforehand (instead of pumping $$s), can get a free demo of it here, http://www.chilisaucecode.com

  11. I am addicted to this game…Its become a ritual, go tot he movies, play stacker…
I have gotten the Major prize twice, an I Pod Touch and a Wii
I have beaten it 2 other times and the machine randomly shutdown and wouldn’t let me select the prize.
So…overall maybe $100 intot he machine for a wii and an IPod Touch, good deal if you ask me, lol…GOD ITS EVIL!
